Jump On Board!

Hello!
Lots of exciting things going on with the holiday season ahead!  Let me catch you up.....

We're so sorry to sort of say goodbye to our sweet sister, Carole Foret' who's surrendered to her calling to focus on her family and her wonderful gift of painting.  Unfortunately she will no longer be a regular in our gospel singing group. We wish her happiness and miss her SO much!  Her sweet spirit and exciting personality added so much to our group and she added so much to our lives.     We hope that she will sing with us still from time to time and I'll be letting you know when that happens.

We do have a new sister and we're happy to introduce Pam Ennis who has joined Sister Grace.  We're busily gearing up for some fun concerts at the Red Caboose in Elkmont, AL.  Please help us to welcome Pam and join us on November 28th and December 19th.

I've partnered with my dear friend Robye Andrews and we're offering handmade pearl and turquoise jewelery just in time for the holidays!  Keep this in mind as you make your wish list and tell your significant other!  Special thanks to Tevvy and Robyn Hubbs for modeling for us!  You can check out more views of our jewelry on my Heart & Soul Art & Music website.  Our "Versatile Pearls & Stones" necklaces and earrings are so much fun to wear.  You can be CREATIVE (that's a big word in my book) and wear them in a variety of ways to
suit your mood (and your neckline for the day).
We're offering them in pearl and turquoise with earrings to match.  They're handmade with genuine  9 to 10 mm freshwater pearls or 9 to 10 mm turqouise stones on a hand rolled leather string.  The more you wear them the more you'll love them  (and wearing them in the shower just makes them softer).   We loved them so much we just had to make a few for Christmas gifts and decided we would sell some too.
You can order them here on my blog safely and securely through Paypal.  Get your order in by December 1st!

ONE MORE THING! (longwinded tonight aren't I).  Please sign up as a "follower" using the button on the left and keep up with my adventures.  Never a dull moment at the Swindell house!

Oh yeah, and stop by the Railroad Bazaar in Athens where the hubby, Bill Swindell, is now the MANAGER! Congratulations William!

Many blessings!

Bennie's Babies Update & Other New Ones

Been painting up a storm over here! The sweet little flower painting is from some mums I snatched from my neighbors yard. My sister in-law, Lissa, came down last Friday and we painted these flowers. We started out to do a horse and ended up with flowers. Lissa said the horse would have been easier! We had a great time together!
I had just finished the pumpkin painting (2nd below) when she came and we went up to the Club House for lunch and dropped the pumpkin painting off at Kathleen's Corner where some of my paintings are on display. Note the "Ball" jars. I just had to throw that in since I'm from the "Ball" family. My mother's last name was Ball. Drop by and see my window and have your hair done by Alisha or some of the other girls and let me know which painting you like.
I think I've finally finished Bennie's Babies. The mouth of the little one is still a bit off but I think I can fix that pretty easily. Which one do you like the best of these three? Happy Halloween!!

12" x 16" Acrylic "Wild Mums" $150
24" x 30" Oil "Bennie's Babies (sold)
24" x 30" Oil "Pumpkin Time" $200

Bennie's Babies

Here's the photo (below) and the painting above. This is oil on 24 x 30 canvas to go over Bennie's fireplace. Can't wait to see it framed. Thanks to Melissa Bridges for the photography. Beautiful girls! They have a beautiful grandma too!
Later!

Latest Portrait - Elizabeth

Here's pretty little Elizabeth that I just finished. I took the sunflowers from another photo and added the fence as a backdrop. She was such a joy to paint. I learn more each time I paint a portrait. I truly learned my lesson this time about measuring prior to starting and sketching to assure that the eyes, nose, mouth are in the right spot. I've started a new portrait of two little girls and I'll post those soon. Please sign up to be notified of my posts and I'd love to hear your comments!

Thank God Dreams Survive

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing I'm posting our song "Thank God Dreams Survive" on our website and hope that you'll go out and listen and honor those who've dedicated their lives to the space program. NASA is a positive force in an otherwise mixed up world. I'm proud of all we've done and continue to do that helps mankind the world over. Join us tomorrow at the U. S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville for our moon landing celebration. My band "The Valley Cats" will be performing from 1:00 to 5:oo. I'm very proud to be a NASA Girl!
